I first met Dr Ashok Subramanian a couple of years ago , after 12 years of going in and out of hospital and doctors not knowing what was wrong with me , I eventually had a diagnoses of sacroiliac joint dysfunction. I had been in extreme pain and at times unable to walk. I found him by emailing a company that specialised in operations for sacriollic joint fusion who gave me his name . From the moment I met Dr Ashok Subramanian I felt understood , listened too but most of all safe in the knowing that he could help fix my problem . I had my first surgery at musgrove hospital and I did end up in my local hospital a few times after this with the same problem . Each time I did he was always on the end of the phone to support me in anyway he could (something for me I had never experienced before ) over that year we came to realise I needed both sides fused , which has now been completed. Already I feel in a lot less pain which is such a relief . I would recommend Dr Ashok to anyone, in all the years of being in and out of hospitals ive seen so many doctors, feeling desperate , unheard or supported he gave me back hope for my future . The main thing that stood out for me was how he treats you as an equal human being with compassion, understanding and care and is always so proactive at getting things done .

I met Mr Ashok Sridhara Subramanian in Outpatients with my husband. He was initially in doubt about performing my operation because of concerns about problems with my knee. This is a separate problem to my back and leg ... After a discussion with my husband and me, Mr. Subramanian decided that he could help me but would not be able to make any guarantees as to the outcome. Due to the length of time I had been suffering from this, I was placed on the urgent list. My operation was on the 31st of August. Mr. Subramanian visited me whilst I was in recovery on two occasions, to see how I was. I walked a short distance with him and could tell that there was already an improvement. This amazing man has changed my life, after 20 years of being in pain. I would thoroughly recommend him to any patient suffering from Spinal problems. I will never be able to thank him enough. The technique used enables faster recovery and pinpoint accuracy due to the Patient remaining awake.
